Travers and Associates to Fly Above the Competition at EAA Airventure 2009

Oshkosh, WI (June 2009) -- At the end of July, Travers and Associates will provide more than 1,500 aviation insurance quotes and will respond to numerous on-site aviation insurance claims all in just one week; a tradition they have been carrying out for years. Once again, Travers and Associates will be exhibiting at the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) annual event, Airventure.

"The flight tower at Oshkosh becomes the busiest air traffic control tower in the world the week of Airventure," said Chris Travers, Sales Manager at Travers and Associates. "Tens of thousands of airplanes fly in and many are on display for the nearly half a million aviation enthusiasts who attend this event. Unfortunately, when you have this many airplanes and people in one place, insurance claims do happen. That is why our company always makes it a point to be extremely active at the show. We quote over a thousand new policies each year and are right on-site in case of any incidents to help our current customers process their claims immediately."

Sometimes referred to as the Super Bowl of the industry, Airventure is aviation's premier event of the year. It started 56 years ago with a handful of homebuilt and modified aircraft and about 150 attendees, and has morphed into the largest gathering of aircraft in the world. This yearly event brings together aviation enthusiasts from around the world to the small town of Oshkosh, WI.

"Airventure features thousands of aircraft, ranging from jets and vintage warbirds and experimental aircraft that someday may literally change the industry. Each of these planes has unique challenges when it comes to insurance. That is one of the reasons that Airventure is extremely exciting for us, we get the chance to sit down with our clients and actually see the aircraft that we are insuring. This gives us valuable insight into the policies we write for specific planes. For example, many people may think that experimental aircraft are inexpensive and dangerous, but in fact, these airplanes are sometimes worth millions, utilize cutting edge technology and perform better than standard aircraft," said Chris Travers.

Travers and Associates is well poised to insure almost any type of home built or experimental aircraft in addition to most traditional aircraft. Because of the insurance agency's longstanding relationships in the aviation industry, Travers and Associates is able to insure more high risk and specialty aircraft than most aviation insurance brokerages. Travers and Associates' home base at the show from July 27-August 2 will be booth 3126 at the North Exhibit Hangar C.
